Your Arizona Update

Arizona is quickly becoming the new Florida.

I Can Dig It

Last night something pretty awesome happened. On an inflatable screen, mere yards from the ocean in Coney Island, there was a showing of one of my top 3 favorite movies. The 1979 cult classic, The Warriors. The event was part of a promotion by netflix to show 10 movies in the very same locations where they were filmed. Rest assured, all the geeks and freaks came out for it. They even had 9 of the main actors show up for a poorly run drunken question and not well thought out answer. The only Warrior missing was Ajax and when questioned, Michael Beck said it was because James Remar is 'actually a working actor.' It was a steady stream of fanboy glory being shot all over me and I readily drank it up.

Enjoy...
These were for sale along with some cool limited edition posters.

I'm a Warrior.

Before the main event, they showed the original trailers for lords of Flatbush, Xanadu, and Escape from New York. How kick ass is that. Early Sly and just right Snake in full 35mm glory.

There were weird pregnant lady phone pics going around.

Leaving C.I.
Another highlight was a girl no older than 4 reciting line for line all the big speeches in the film, along with the hand motions. Scary and pretty freakin' cool at the same time. Maybe I would be a good dad, it's really a chance to show your kid all the cool things you had to find out about too late.

The moral is; If you ever get the chance to see one of your favorite movies with a thousand people, outside, on one of the hottest nights of the year, go for it. Nothing like hearing people laugh, cheer and shout at the moments you've enjoyed in your head for years.

I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here

You're Really Doing Something Here

They say you can learn a lot about someone by visiting their house. Mine's small, crowded and made of gold (just like my heart). Come along.

Planning out 500,000 baguettes takes time.

Faces have been blurred to protect the shirtless.

Can anyone find the way out?

The rooftop view makes it all worth it. Empire State Building featured in background.

Apparently these people have a party every Sunday night that kicks off with AC/DC. I'm just saying.
